Service Requirements
CatSat Atlanta is exclusively enjoyed by new clients who:
Keep all cats indoors
Safe outdoor enrichment is optional but recommended for optimal mental, emotional, and physical health. Examples include screened porches with cat door access, catios, cat tents, pet strollers or backpacks, or leash-and-harness excursions. CatSat does not serve those who allow cats to roam outdoors unsupervised and uncontrolled at any time.
Have not declawed their cats
Cats need claws for self-defense, grooming, climbing, balance, traction, tactile sensing, communication…the list goes on. Declawing is elective mutilation. Clients who’ve adopted previously declawed cats may be served if they provide all original adoption records.
Have not purchased cats from breeders, pet stores,
catteries, or individuals selling animals
CatSat serves clients who opt to adopt. CatSat does not condone the breeding, selling, or purchasing of purebred cats or of any cat. Shelters and rescues are overflowing with already birthed cats needing homes. Adoption fees are not purchases.
Provide annual veterinary wellness checkups for their cats
Annual vet exams are basic to health maintenance and to prevention and early treatment of emerging health conditions. CatSat does not serve those who deny cats annual medical checkups. At CatSat’s discretion, vet records may be required for service based on the condition of individual cats.
Provide proof of non-expired vaccinations for
rabies and FVRCP or 1-HCP+FELV
New clients must provide CatSat with their cats’ latest vaccination record for rabies and FVRCP or 1-HCP+FELV, unless there is a medical condition contraindicating vaccination. This is for the protection of your cat, your cat sitter, and all other clients’ cats that CatSat sees every day.
Have boarded their doggies with neighbors,
friends, family, day care, or vets.
CatSat loves doggies, too, but expert dog care providers are in abundance. CatSat happily serves cat-and-dog homes when dogs have been boarded or brought along on vacations. At CatSat’s discretion, we may also care for other small pets in the home.
